That's NOT what I mean. My robber screens are on a bottom entrance hive, but only have an entrance from the top of the screen. No entrance from the bottom of the screen.

I think 72 hours is correct, but in this weather, I wouldn't chance it. I would move them a few miles and bring them back after 4 days. On extra for ins.
Also, I would never have a robber screen with a bottom entrance.

In the spring, I agree with Reedyfork. In a dearth, I have never seen a docile colony.

I know of two removals yesterday. Not a drop of honey in either hive. Yes a bad dearth is on.

Sat., Sun., Mon., rain, rain and more rain. Look for swarms Tue. and Wed.

Either that or ignore her and leave her in the cage.

If there was no other brood besides the queen cells, remove them. They are not viable. I would remove the queen you found and place in another box with 2 frames of some honey and pollen. Then I would place the new queen in the box with no possible route to escape. After 3 days, check both queens. If...

It sounds like you may have let several get away into the neighborhood in the last few years. Now their offspring are coming back.

Moved them into a 10 frame hive today. Saw a lot of brood and a yellow marked queen. Likely one of Keith's swarms from Beez Needz.

Swarm about 6 feet high in small twigs on small tree. Shook them into a nuc box and left them to gather until dark. About 3 to 4 lb. Only about 3 miles from my house.

I killed my first of the year yesterday as well, but it was at Badin Lake.

Strange. I don't know what else would cause it.

Did you have a queen excluder under the super?
