I haven't been as busy as Rob or Wally but over the last 4 weeks I have pulled in 3 swarms from trees and one finally moved into my swarm trap.

I am just starting to make tincture from propolis. Sounds interesting that you can make it with dead bees.

I also like the hive top feeders and you need to keep feeding them, but keep an eye on the amount of comb available for the queen to lay eggs in. The blueberries, peach tree and silver maple are blooming here as well as the red buds.

Mine have not been very excited about the pollen substitute for a few days now, but they have been working two maples on the other side of the subdivision.

There were bees working the maple in the subdivision today around 1:00 pm.
