Looks like some of bees are moving on to clover.

My work is a honey bee sanctuary. Tons of clover, at least until Thursday (grass cutting day).

Re: Does anyone have Top Enterance for their bees?

Rob spells out what happened to me and a the swarm I caught. They were building out box after box of foundation I placed on them. I kept feeding them because the were a comb building machine. I inspected them into the brood last Saturday and found a capped swarm cell and a few just started cells wit...

I took walk around my building today and found a massive amount of blackberries being worked. They look to be ...

I had to try again...

Just as today got better and temps went up, bees were all over them again. It looks to be a hawthorne of some type.

Oh they love it. Nice full pollen baskets full of yellow pollen. They are small in night so I would think they would be a great one to have around homes.

The quotable beekeeper himself. I enjoyed the book that followed him around one season., The Beekeeper's Lament.

I've bee watching the below three the last few days at my work. Friday there were buds and it's in full bloom. There were tons of bees working them. Anyone know what kind of tree this is?

Also, I see that the local blackberry vines have buds on them.

Re: Swarm 4/3/14 Spincer-Dixion North Guilford county

Check on the swarm hive yesterday. They are very active at the entrance coming and going with lots of pollen. They had taken all of the sugar syrup (About 1.5 gals.) from a top feeder. I didn't do an inspection but I'm looking to get into the hive this weekend to see how things are going. They were ...

First check for queen right of packages- no queen in one?

I was able to get in to my hives yesterday to check for queen release. I hived these packages last sat. In one of my hives I found the queen and eggs on lightly drawn foundation. My other hive is a different story. The queen had been released but no sign of her. I did see where the colony had made a...
