Thanks for sharing, Rob. It helps to know what others are seeing/doing. I agree, James should be commended for such a long run doing what is often a thankless job as president for so many years.

I'm looking forward to in person meetings in 2022... hopefully.

Hive Swarm in NE Guilford County 3/21/17

One of my hives swarmed Tuesday about 25 feet up onto the middle of a tree limb just above the hive. Rob Jacobs brought his bee vac over, climbed into my father's bucket truck, and swept them up, including the queen (thankfully).

Thanks for sharing. I just recently began smelling strange (acidic smells) much like vinegar.

I'm a first year honeybee keeper. I'm using a top feeder. I purchased my first sugar syrup from Beez Needz, but I'd like to make my batches from now on. What is the correct ratio of sugar (pounds) to water (gallons). I'm sure I'll need to heat the water before mixing it with the sugar, but I'd like ...
