Converting Manual Extractor to Motorized

Post by hazmatinferno »

I have a 9 frame SAF Natura manual extractor. Obviously, you can order a motor for it and convert it to motorized. However, it is expensive! :D
Has anyone come up with DIY ways to convert your manual extractors to motorized?
I was thinking of mounting an electric drill to the crank-shaft, but I'm worried it would rip somebodies hand off if it got loose.

What is the cost of the motorized upgrade?

If I remember correctly, I think it was around $600 for the upgrade on the extractor I have.
