This swarm came from a hive I had already removed the queen from. The unmarked queen in this swarm is in a catcher clip. I have a hard time believing that she is mated given when I saw swarm cells and removed the marked queen. While I was collecting my swarm, I had a call from a relatively new beekeeper whose hive had swarmed. I gave her advice about collecting the swarm and taking steps to anchor the bees in. Not long after, I got a call from a business owner about bees on the side of a building. I referred him to Mark Case. Mark called and said the bees looked like a swarm and did not look like they had taken steps to move into the building. I gave a call to Phil Queen. He said he would look at the situation and get them if he could.

Next week should be real fun.

Wow!
I split a couple of my hives since they had capped or nearly capped queen cells.
With the rain and warm temps this coming week, i agree it will be busy with swarms. I've got some spare equipment ready.
