Ski, it looks as if the basket is on wheels. How would you clean and lub the casters and still stay clean enough for them to roll in your honey when extracting? I would be worried about contaminating my honey.

Also, I would think you would have to drain constantly, as they would not roll well at all with 3 or 4 inches of honey in the tank.

The second one looks much more efficient, but if it dents that easily, it must be made from very cheap, thin metal.

Kurt, regarding your link to the NC dept of ag, there's this listing

Any idea what LNC means and do you know if this is a preferable type? I really don't know anything about extractors, so I'm hoping to see a few before I make a purchase. Thanks!

From what I've read, I'd prefer one that takes all sizes, one I can hand crank as well as electrically extract, and I'd also prefer it to be reversible instead of lifting frames out and turning them to extract other side (but this option bring up the price considerably). That's about all I know right now.

I'd go in on sharing an extractor with some newbies if anyone was interested.

Not Kurt, but LNC means "like new condition"
