Powdered Sugar Shake

Hello all,
I tried to check for varroa mites by using the powdered Suger Shake method. There was one problem how do you get (scoop up) 100 to 200 Bees into wide-mouth jar? Is there a trick to this or just is it scoop away?

Just scoop away. Try to find a frame of brood where the bees are concentrated. You want to get as many house bees as possible, so you take them from the heaviest brood area.
