I just purchased sugar in 5 lb. bags at Aldi for 1.65. That's 33 cent per lb. Wal-mart was 46 1/2 cent per lb.

Just thought some of you may like to know.

Was that a volume discount?
Aldi in Burlington has 5lb for $2.29 or 45 cents per pound.

No, one bag was 1.65. I just loaded 40 bags and was charged for 1 X 40. They didn't even count them in the basket. They took my word for how many I had. It was the Aldis in Asheboro. You should ask them why the difference.
