how often should one replace wax foundation in honey supers?

Post by p51d »

I read that wax in honey supers after a couple of years should be replaced because toxins become stored in the wax.

This is true for false? If this is the case, should the brood chambers be rotated as well?

Can the wax be used for candles?

Most are recommending 2 frames a year in a 10 frame box. That rotates it out every 5 years. Yes, brood boxes, too, if you believe it and want to do it.
Yes, the wax should be melted and used for non-bee stuff.
