Different equipment

Post by Newbee Jim »

I was looking at the Beetight software page and ran across the types of hives they say it is good for. Which really, does it make a difference?

Anyhow, one was the BeeHaus. Here is a link: http://www.omlet.us/products_services/p ... +Explained

I thought it was interesting. Sort of a cross between a top bar and a Langstroh but uses National frames which are British. They are definitely cost prohibitive at $795.

The WBC hives are interesting but seldom used in the US that I am aware. Here is a good site showing them: http://www.dave-cushman.net/bee/wbc.html

And here is one showing them and comparing to the British National: http://www.thorne.co.uk/thorne7.htm

I guess it goes to show there is more than one way to keep bees.
