Epi-Pen

Post by No=-Bee's »

At the last meeting, it was mentioned about getting an Epi-Pen certificaiton. Will doctors accept this certification and give a prescription for an Epi-Pen, even if you are not allergic to bee stings? I am currently a NC State Certified EMT, with defibrilation and epi qualifications.

I am unsure what epi-pen certification really is.
Anyone can get an epi-pen simply by going to their doctor and getting a prescription.

Since no one else has answered, I will make a guess at it even tho I don't know. Since the epi-pen is for self-administering, I would think the certification would be so you would be qualified to administer it to someone else.
