Bees, equipment, and sugar for sale!

This was my third year keeping bees and it seemed I finally got it right--I came out of this winter with a large, healthy, heavy hive. However my 13 year old dog was attacked and killed by them in my fenced back yard this past Saturday, and that incident has made me reevaluate my decision to have them here in such a small space. I live in a townhouse and although losing my dog breaks my heart, I am so thankful it wasn't one of the neighborhood children who was attacked. It worked fine for several years, but this one incident was huge for me. Hindsight is 20/20 and I guess I'm lucky we made it this far without incident. I really hate to let them go, but I don't think having them off-site would be the same for me.

Pics of the hive and equipment are on Craigslist.

I'm lowering the price of the hive as is (3 supers and a top feeder) to $150, and can't sell any of the equipment until I make sure the hive is sold and gone. Otherwise I am going to have to work these bees the next few warm days we have--and frankly, that's the last thing I want to do.

I really don't need any more bees, but if no one takes them at 150, I will. Don't go any lower. Also, if you want, we can move them down here until you can decide what to do with them.

A friend of mine came into a large quantity of sugar 2 years ago and I was able to get it for the club, but I continue to check with him and it was a one-time deal I think. No more available.
