Crystallized honey

Post by tallen44us »

Last fall I purchased 10 frames of honey from another beekeeper. It turns out that a lot of the honey left is crystallized. Can the bees process the crystallized honey? What do I need to do?

Place it on the hive. They will raise the temp enough to liquify it.

I think they will eat it when we have a nectar shortage but right now my bees won't even clean out an empty honey bucket. Last summer I put some supers back on that had crystallized honey and they finally used it up but were slow to do it.
