Dead bees

Post by dwbicefam »

So this morning when I went to check the girls (I do it every morning and afternoon-what can I say, I love my bees) both hives had dead bees on the doorstep. Just a result of a really chilly night? I'm not wigging out or anything, but thought perhaps some of you who have more experience than me-not hard- could give me some insight. Both hives are new this year.
Thanks,
CB

Less than 20 equals normal attrition. More than a hundred equals problems.

Ok. It was just the first time I had seen them like that, and for both hives to do it on the same day too.
Thanks,
