Robber Screens

Post by ski »

Rob,
What do your robber screens look like? Anybody else have a design to share?

Brushy Mountain has a nice one.

Here is one I have built.

Just some thoughts.

I have bought a number of the Brushy Mountain ones for my 10 frame hives and have made a couple of smaller versions for nucs. I like the design and the way they work.

I just got back from picking up 2 screens at Wally's and they are similar in design to yours. They look much less complicated to put together than the Brushy design. How well do they work for you? My Brushy designed ones got a real test yesterday and functioned well.

Mine have worked well. I lay a strip of wood on top to adjust the size of the opening.
I like the aluminum flashing brushy has over the screen below the top entrance, thats a nice idea. I think I will add that to mine.
I have purchased one of the brushy robber screens to use as a template to build some but haven't gotten around to it yet.
Just some thoughts.
