feed question

Post by beeramm »

I made some syrup 12 days ago in anticipation of new packages last week. Packages were delayed until today. I have kept the feed in the fridge and am wondering if it would still be usable for todays install and should I bring to ambient temperature b4 putting in hive top feeder.
Thanks.

The syrup should be just fine to feed to the bees. It would be good to let it warm up before putting it in the feeder as the bees will not take syrup if its below 50 degrees.
Just some thoughts.
