Inspection & Manipulation HELP/Summerfield

Post by beebabyelle1 »

Our last hive out of 3 needs some work & being new at beekeeping we are seeking a mentor or assistance in the inspection and our manipulation to try to insure we do not lose this one. The two other were package bees from last summer did not make it through the winter although they looked like they had plenty of honey & cover. Our last hive is a swarm we captured last year and seems quite calm when they are handled. We just do not know what to do with them at this point. HELP. Summerfield.

I sent you an e mail a few hours ago with Marc Stadiem's phone number. He would be happy to help you figure things out.

It's been a month since Marc's visit. Success!!! The split was a tremendous success thanks to Marc's help. Evidence of brood in both colonies and no more swarm cells. They are packing in the honey now, both hives are running neck and neck and are still very docile. Thanks Marc!!! :D
