Just wanted to know the going rate for pints or quarts here???? Or per pound....
Also, a question for the wax folks....old frames which are dark brown, or ones which the moths get - are these still used to make wax in a solar heater or ??? or discard the comb.
What's the going price for pure honey.

Hi...A beekeeper told me 12 a pint so that is what I will go for.

I'm a little late to the party on this post, but generally Pints go for anywhere from $9-14, and Quarts go anywhere from $17-25.
As for your wax question, yes you can get wax out of those old dark combs, but there's alot of left over "stuff" (called "slumgum" in the industry), so it isn't too efficient. To really get all of it out, you need a heated wax press. It ends up being too much work for most people, so they don't bother. But you can toss one of those frames on a solar wax melter and get some of it out.

I would say $10 per lb. $13 a pint and $25 a qt.
Some get more and some less.
some people across the state have said that they charge $1 per ounce for any size
