Rough first year, trying again

My first year of beekeeping was fun but vexing and in the end I lost both hives over the winter, first was weak and robbed barren in the four days between visits and the second stronger one looks like they froze.

I have two packages of bees on order from Brushy, my question is:
How much of the drawn comb, with honey and pollen remaining, can I re-use?

I feel your pain. I am starting my third season with no over wintering success. I am planning on doing 3 things differently this year. Treat for mites as required should the counts get high, will do this in August. I have not previously treated any of my hives. Second feed with more consistency. Third combine weak hives as needed after they cluster this fall. Hope I am on the right track.
