Magnolia Blossoms

I saw a couple of honeybees on my magnolia blossoms this evening. It looked like they were interested in the flower rather than stopping for a drink of water from the blossom. I had never seen bees on the magnolias before. Is anyone aware if they regularly work them or were these just exploring something they were not likely to return to?

Yes, it is worked by the bees.
