A hawk found a perch on some empty nuc bnoxes.

Thanks Doug, I looked up coopers hawk and it does seem to match. The site mentioned that the Cooper’s Hawk eats small to medium birds and mammals. I wanted to see if it would bother the chickens. So I think they are safe.

Our new beekeepers need to remember to put some sort of weight on the hive top to keep it from blowing off in strong winds. I'm going to nominate Ski for the "best hive top weight" award.

I think this may be my first award nomination on a beekeeping web site for ”Best Hive Top Weight”. Thanks Rob. It may be unique but may not be the most effective lol. Just the same I hope I win. Also a good weight is good advice.
