2 queens possible?

I did a hive inspection today, I have an excluder on top of the brood box, looking inside the brood box last week I noticed no new eggs or larva but an open queen cell and I also saw the queen so I figured the old one must have died.
Today I seen the queen and new eggs in the brood box, now I could be wrong but when I set my top medium super back on the top of the excluder. Looking through the top medium it look very close to another queen in there or a large drone. Has any one else seen this or do you think the one on top was most likely a drone

Most likely a drone, since it was above the excluder, but also quite possibly a queen. It happens more often than people think.

I often see mother and daughter laying quite literally side by side. Astonishing but true.
