Have 2 hives, first year

Raining today, entrance on both hives have deformed, premature larvae 4 on 1 hive, 2 on the other

Plan to open and check things out when the weather improves.

Have not looked inside for 3 weeks

Are these larve cause for concern?

You may or may not have a problem. If you are seeing deformed wings, they may be removing larvae that have deformed wing virus-usually vectored by varroa mites. If what you are seeing are drone larvae that have been chewed up in the removal process, you may be seeing the normal seasonal reduction of drones. The rain or cooler weather may make dead larvae/bee removal more of a problem and you may just be seeing what your bees have been removing and carrying away. Your mite counts should give you some direction.

Thank you for the info

I see no deformed wings on the visible bee

Will check mite count and interior this week
