FAIR
If you got some honey or wax from your bees this year or you bake with honey you may want to enter it in the judging at the Greensboro Central Carolina Fair or the NC State Fair or any of the fairs that may be in your area. Be aware entry forms must be submitted in advance of the fair. Its fun just to enter something. Also last year the Central Carolina Fair provided a free pass to come back to the fair.
Entries for judging at the Central Carolina fair are open to the residents of Guilford County and the rest of the world.
Entries for judging at the NC State Fair are open to NC residents.
IN both fairs it must be this years wax and honey.


NC Central Fair – September 13 - 22
Entries for judging at the Central Carolina fair are open to the residents of Guilford County and the rest of the world.
Entries forms must be on an official entry form and post marked no later than midnight Friday August 30, 2013.
Bring articles to be exhibited to the Pavilion building at the Greensboro Coliseum on
]Wednesday, September 11, between 1:00 PM and 8:00 PM
OR on Thursday, September 12 between 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM
They also want observation hives at the fair and are paying an additional $15.00 for specific days /times.

NC State Fair Raleigh - Oct 17 – 22
Entries for judging at the NC State Fair are open to NC residents.
Entry forms must be received by September 19, 2013 5:00 PM
Items may be brought to the fair beginning October 9. Judging Oct16.

Central Carolina Fair:
Dropped my one jar of honey off today at the Coliseum pavilion building in Greensboro.
They did provide two tickets to get back into the fair anytime.

Looking forward to the NC State Fair. Got 5th last year.

Spent 4.5 hours talking to people about bees and beekeeping at the bee booth at the NC state fair while my better half worked selling honey for the State Beekeepers Association. Didn't get a good pic but got 4th place in the honey competition.
