Do you have a set of the dcoates nuc plans. If not, you may want to look at them.

Thank you! We did use the Coates 5 Frame Nuc plan, but we used 3/4 inch instead of 1/2 inch plywood and screws instead of staples. We just thought it would hold up better.

OK. Just checking. They are a simple, efficient set of plans.

I assume you adjusted the dimensions appropriately, since you were using 3/4" plywood instead of 1/2" that DCoates' plans call for, right? Otherwise you'd have a hard time getting those frames in there :)

Yes, we did adjust the dimensions. The frames (5) fit just fine. I am going to use the directions in the Coates instructions for my opening and drill a vent hole on the back with screen over the opening.

Here is where I found the measurements... 6 Easy Steps To Make A Nuc Box.

I'm sure you will have a fine nuc, but it isn't exactly a dcoates nuc. With his, you can get 4 complete nucs from 1 .....4X8 sheet of 1/2 inch plywood. A lot cheaper than the plans you posted the link to.
