Queen outside hive

This is a first for me. I have a hive that is in the process of requeening. I just saw a good sized black queen walking around on the back of the hive. I did not see any mating signs. I called David over so he could see it too. It took off and flew around the front of the hives, but I could not see if it entered one. If it is mated, I hope it made it back to the right hive.

The last time I did a quick check, this queen had started laying. Later today, I'll go into that hive and see what kind of pattern she is producing.
