sick hive

Post by d'sbees »

My new hive (started in 3/14) is in trouble, it was doing great until I went on vacation in August. Upon return there were some hive beatels and mites. got rid of hive beatles, treated for mites and now upon checking it looks like there is no queen, no capped brood and very little honey. Is there a way to salvage this disaster or do I start again next year.??? Pleas help. :(

If you have another hive, you may can save it. If it's your only hive, start over next year. That's why I always recommend starting with 2 or more hives. You can do soooo much more.
