I posted this on another web site tonight and also wanted to see what the thoughts local is on this subject. A friend gave me about 75 pounds of hard peppermint candy seconds from a candy manufacturer. I ground up some of it into a fine powder with a food processor. I was thinking about trying to feed it to the bees using
the winter camp method. I would like anyone's thoughts on this. Do you think they would take the peppermint flavor?

Just my thoughts.
Don't know what others have done but I feel that its just like anything else that we feed our bees.
If you know where the candy was made, how the candy was made and what went into the candy and you are good with all of that then feed it.

You can buy sugar for 50 cents a pound, is it worth the risk for $35.00?

If i remember correctly, on the other website it was said that it probably contains cornstarch, which is no good for bees
