I came home today after a long day taking care of school stuff. My girls were out flying, buzzing around, attacking the melons, tomatoes, potatoes, peppers in the garden. Covering the magnolia tree. Completely covered the community feeder. Covered one of my wife's garden fountains. Buzzing around all my wife's flower gardens. The bees were happy! Even my devil spawn package that attacks me every time I go near.
I grabbed my lawn chair and set behind the hives out of the flight path and just listened to them buzz for about 15 minutes. Very soothing.
If I don't get a single frame of honey this summer, this experience was memorable.
I feel, well, I feel Happy
Re: I feel, well, I feel Happy
Hold that warm, soothing, bee-utiful thought for six months when it'll be the day before the Winter Equinox when the queen will know it's time to start making drones again in preparation for spring. Bees, with their mysterious instincts, are so amazing!
