Brown Rice Syrup

Does anyone know anything about using brown rice syrup (organic sweetener) as supplemental feed for bees?

I hadn't heard of it, so I did a search and turned up this article. Toward the end it mentions an arsenic content that may be of concern to people. I don't know about bees.
