We have 2 trees, on the side of our front yard. They start the year off with light pink flowers, then transition to deep purple leaves. The last couple of years, the flower coverage was good. We received our nuc last year, near the end of April. I ,think, I recall seeing the bees working the flowers some last year.

This year the trees had TONs of flowers. They were worked well by the bees. Recently, I went out to the trees to trim some of the lower hanging branches, to make mowing easier. I was surprised to see fruit hanging from the trees. Turns out they are Deep Purple Cherry-Plum trees. We've lived here for about 8 years, and this is the first time we've seen these trees bare fruit. Like most trees, the needed to be cross-pollinated.

Behold, the power of bees!
