5 frame nucs

On average time for a 5 frame nuc to fill 2 ,,, 10 frame brood hive bodys
the 15 frames are just foundation,, any chanceof any extra honey
wishfull thinking,,,

Just depends on when you get them and where you take them for a honey flow.
If you get them April 1, feed heavy and take them to the mountains or Virginia then there would be no problem picking up a sourwood crop or late spring crop.

Bonnie said that the mountains or Virginia are out of the question... there not a one day run from mn .. just trying to get an idea of the bodys and supers we will need for this summer...

Kurt, you stayed up to late. :oops: The kid is in Minnesota.

If you can get the nuc established in the hive 60 days before the honeyflow, they can put up as much as an established hive this year. That means making sure they have adequate food and pollen to raise a full compliment of brood during the 60 days.
How much that is depends on your local weather and honeyflow.

I may have at little out of each then .. and should have one full super plus some from the package that replaces the one we lost . as its all drawn and full of huney in the 2 deeps .. That should make every one happy.. thanks for the info
