As everyone probably is well aware, our honey is normally darker due to the amount of poplar available.
I beleive the first honey put up was definately just that. I think the flow on poplar was a little weak either due to the freeze or perhaps the dry weather.
I have noticed that all my honey in the last 2 weeks is much lighter. Probably clover and raspberry.
Not much coming in right now. I hope those bees hurry up and finish the supers off.

I hope so as well. I have two on, that are both drawn, with the bottom super being partially capped.

I took my second super today!!! That is two supers off of a hive that I split on April 20th. I went into the hive today to make sure they raised a new queen and she was mated. She is laying top to bottom and side to side. Fantastic. The other hive I split had capped over brood top to bottom also!!! I am soooo happy that I have queen right hives. I now have 9 hives with only 1 without a queen. The other hive doesn't have a laying queen yet. I will watch it over the next couple of days to monitor the progress. I put a frame with eggs on it 4 days ago and they didn't raise any queen cells. SOOOO I hope that means all is well. I am enjoying the honey!!!
