I have a super ready for harvest. If someone wants the practice, you can rob it, extract it, and keep half the honey.

Wally,
I am not going to extract any from my 2 hives, I am going to do crush and strain if there is any. But IF your offer is still open I would like to come down just to see how its done.
Do you still have some honey gates and buckets for sale?

I do still have buckets and gates. The honey is still on the hive, but I sold both my extractors. I won't be extracting it. If no one wants it, I will just harvest and freeze it for feed in the spring.

I would be interested but don't have an extractor. A little while ago Kurt was offering to lend out his 2-frame extractor, and I'm going to be going by him this Saturday at the market, maybe I can pick it up then and we can all do this together, what fun!
Kurt, is your offer still open to lend this out?
Wally, Ski and I would like to come over and do the fogging demo and I would really like to ask you all my saved up questions! tour your operation and see how you do everything, and pick up some supplies from you while there. Is your offer still open to have us and can we set a date with you early next week? I'm thinking Monday, June 25th because L&H may be able to come then, so all three of us can be out there. Does that work for you?
Is anyone else interested to come on this date?

THANKS WALLY! What fun! I really enjoyed learning what you do with your bees and the great fogging demo.
I learned that:
-I can put honey in hot water and have honey tea.
-I must spin the extractor, slowly at first, but I have to know when I can go faster (and cross wiring frames is important, I now know).
-I can now extract one frame or a super, and which method to use for which.
-I hurt when a bee stings me, Wally doesn't.
-fogging with FGMO and thymol is quick and easy, and with the right equipment no flares will occur
-Wally has a healthy respect for the women in his family (especially his mother, who everyone adored).
-it takes 5-6 hours for 2-3 newbies to fog, rob 1-1/2 supers and extract/clarify/bottle it all, and clean up.
-bees will lick an extractor and pails (turned on their side) clean.
-moonflowers bloom at 8pm and take a 1/2 hour to open.
-Wally has very gentlemanly grandsons.
and, finally:
-there's so much to learn.
Thanks for the fun day and the gorgeous, dark honey (like maple syrup, eh). Thanks Kurt for the extractor rental, we couldn't have done it without it. And thanks Ski for taking it for cleaning and passing on.
I'm exhausted and am going to bed.
