As announced at the Guilford county bee keepers meeting on February 12, Tannenbaum Park in greensboro is doing a battle reenactment and would like a honey bee setup.

Well.
I have volunteered to work the Tannenbaum park reenactment honey bee display on March 15. They are going to provide tables and if we use the same spot as was used in the past we will be under a big tree.
I am planning on the usual stuff: extractor, uncapping tank , smoker, bee suit , hive, etc. Sale of items is permitted.
I will get the times when we get closer.
Anybody that would like to join me for public credit towards a higher bee keeper certification is welcome. Just send me a PM or respond here or give me a call.

Don't think I'm up to participation, but if you need to borrow equip or supplies, you are welcome to what I have.

I would really like to help but will probably be working. As soon as I know I will let you know. My boys would love the battle and the bees.

Wally,
As usual you are most generous. I liked what we had for the Farmers Appreciation day so may try and go in that direction. I would like to borrow a few items. I will get back to you.

L&H
Hope you can make it. We had fun at the Farmers Appreciation day but I was tired when it was over.

OK The Tannunbaum park March 15 reenactment just became a lot more fun. If you want to work the display you have to be in period costume lol. Apparently they have some clothes for you to wear if you go to the park ahead of time and pick some out. lol this is going to be interesting.

They have some period clothes you can borrow for the day. I would think that if you have revolutionary period beekeeping attire it would be very welcomed. They seem a little picky about the shoes as well no sneakers or pointy shoes. The times are 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. I will be there Sunday March 15 but the reenactment goes into Sunday.
They would like us to talk about old time beekeeping, but I am expecting a variety of questions from CCD to todays beekeeping equipment and procedures.
