Yellow Beard

There is a bunch of this stuff in the pasture behind the house and the bees seem to be working it. Someone on Beesource identified it as yellow beard or Verbesina occidentalis. Just thought I would pass it along.

I thought they called it crown beard. Looks like you transposed a word somewhere.

Any idea about the nectar potential or is this strictly for pollen?
