top entrance

i have a top entrance pollen trap that i want to take off now, so the girls can store some of the remaining pollen. my only issue is that they really seem to like the top entrance and get really upset when i remove it for routine inspections.

if i just take it off and set it next to the hive will they all make their way back in, through the bottom entrance?

any suggestions?

They will adjust to the bottom entrance, or you can give them a top entrance and they will not need to re-adjust when you put it back on next year.
