Fall Flow!

The flow is getting under way here (Western NC).
I set a syrup feeder about 50 ft from my hives and for the past two days the girls have not been interested in the syrup at all!
Of course yellow jackets and ants are interested in it.
I've seen what I believe to be Goldenrod blooming and,
there is a lot more traffic in the air as they fly over the syrup feeder to forage.
If you haven't already, you may want to check your hives to make sure your girls have enough space.

We certainly appreciate the heads up!
I hope it is a great fall flow as the spring was a bust.
Our bees need all the help they can get.

I was out of town for about 2 weeks and came home to the unusual smell of golden rod nectar around the hives and they were a lot heaver then when I left (lifting the back of the hive). Will go in and check for stores over the next two days but have a good feeling right now that they packed some frames full. :D :D
