OK...
I just brought some bees back from the mountains.
Apparently they are not very happy as their agressive nature was definately accented. They were doing some serious dive-bombing so I only hung around long enough for them to sting me once.
I opened my mouth a little too wide and took one on the tongue. Well, I was a little concerned but it turned out to hurt less and go away faster than a normal sting.

OUCH!!!! That would really hurt. How was the Sourwood flow in the mtns? Where in the Mtns. do you keep bees?

Sourwood seems adequate.
I keep my bees over in the west Jefferson area and probably got a few hundred pounds.

Wow, that is quite a bite of honey. How many Hives did that come off of? I was surprised at how heavy the Sourwood bloom was from around Morganton to Black Mountain the weekend of the 22nd of July. I am from Waynesville, and was on my way up to see my parents over that weekend and noticed it. How did the move back go for the bees with regard to the heat? Did you loose any this year? I recall that you had a melt down last year or year before!
