So, not all swam calls are. This is a 'several weeks old' swarm, 8 feet above the porch of a 2 story log cabin home. I am guessing it is 2.5-3 feet wide. I just received a removal call. This is an established hive (1year at least) inside the walls of a quadplex. Probably need to remove from inside.

Avoid the excluder, give the queen room to work. As they fill the frames and the queen reduces egg laying in the fall/winter, they will fill in what they can with honey stores.

I have a hive (3 med boxes) that I had on a friends farm for pollination. Now I need to move it as he wants to do some spraying for wasps.
Can I reduce it to 1 box before the move?
Or would someone be willing to give me a hand lifting it on and off my pickup this weekend?

A small beard of bees outside the hive entrance. Good activity. Owner needs to cut the tree down. Would like someone to save the bees.
