I got home from the Arboretum this afternoon to see this swarm settling in. The dogwood they are on is a foot or so away from the azalea bush that has been getting swarms. I had to use the bee vacuum to get this one.

I picked another one up for Keith this evening in west High Point. About 3 lbs.

I had another swarm show up yesterday on the same branch of the same magnolia that I captured one last week! This one was more difficult to get in the box, as I think it was traveling with at least one virgin queen in the mix... This morning I noticed a small group of bees out on the white sheet acting very strange, and discovered they had a dead virgin in the middle of the bunch.

This is swarm capture/collection #7 for me over the past month. I had to run around and take down all my actual swarm traps, because I simply don't have any more room (or time) this year to keep adding more colonies!
