Is this coincidence? I think it is highly unlikely that when going into a hive I would go at the very time that the bees were planning on killing the queen. Or is this a response to sudden smoking of the hive and the bees get confused.
Well anyway I rescued the old gal, marked her and released her back into the hive. Right!
She of course decides to take flight and get her tail out of there and quick.Of course I assumed she would come back and 4 days later I have fresh eggs.
Now if I could only find that marked queen!
