Bee ethics?

Post by bdloving »

I know of a property where there is an abandoned hive, the owners asked me to look at it last year, but decided against doing anything with it. It might be recoverable, but I dont have the owners permission and can no longer find their contact information.

What are your opinions?

If you had the owner's permission at one time, I would pick it up and take it home.

Otherwise, I would go to the Guilford County GIS site and get the landowner's name and address. Either he or the hive owner can give you permission to remove the hive.
