Honey flow or swarming?

Post by Kurt Bower »

:?: I know that this weather is keeping the bees inside but I thought I would ask anyway.
Any signs of the honey flow or swarming?

 Hey Kurt!
Good news! There are obvious signs of the honeyflow in the Peidmont Triad area. Went into some of my hives that I had supered up and the girls are already bringing in the good stuff.
Also heard from Emerson Heatherly that 1 swarm was reported in Greensboro this past weekend. Not sure who picked this one up, but maybe we can find out in May!

Well folks; I dont know about you but I am not having the best year. The honey just isnt coming in the way I think it should be. I am not seeing significant swarming tendencies and have only heard of about a half dozen swarms captured.
Let us know if you are experiencing otherwise.
