Went on my first swarm call of the year this afternoon. About a 4 lb. swarm off Racine road in southern Guilford county. Just over head high in a small sapling. A simple bend the limb and shake in box.

Do you think it came from a hive that was fed like crazy this spring?
Did you see any hives nearby?

Yes, it came from a beek's backyard hive. I hived it for him. He had been feeding.
