Yellow worms in hive???

Post by ttthay »

Yesterday I found some small yellow worms on one frame in the brood box. Can someone please tell me what these might be and what to do about them. I took the frame out and froze it.The worms are about 1/4 inch long. They are not wax worms..they are not tunneling...but do seem to be eating the comb.

Likely SHB larva, especially if there isn't enough bees to cover all frames in the hive.
