Tree cutter called today. Said he had a bee tree down. Bring my trailer and come get it. He loaded it with a trac hoe and I brought it home. Couldn't get much easier.

I'll take a stab at this one--

1. There would not be the fun of an opening up party.
(I want an invitation please)

2. Wally would not get the firewood.

3. Wally would have to take care of the bees.

4. Wally would have a very large, heavy hive that he could not inspect
or manipulate.

I was down at Wally's last week and watched these bees bringing in huge loads of pollen. It looks like they have over wintered and they will be hosting a tree opening party when the weather warms sufficiently.

If you have a 21 inch bar or larger, you are most welcome to use it. It is NOT a sapling.

Well if we make a few cuts on each side top to bottom then use the heavy hammers and wedges maybe we can break it open. Or I can wait for direction from the more experienced. Need to get a closer look at the log.

First, we need to cut about 16 inches off the top. Then look at splitting the tree. The top is solid wood, with no rot.

Most Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays are fine with me, but I have some limits in mid to late April. Saturday, April 16th is our field day, and on Friday, April 22nd I have a family gathering that I cannot miss. That weekend is also Easter weekend. For me, I am good for any of the 3 days other than those 2 dates.
