So I have a full super to extract

Post by Zulu »

I' m talking to my farmer neighbor And he says his brother used to keep bees and he has a bunch of equipment. Brother says yes but has no idea which barn or trailer it is in. But he will look.

Today a very nice extractor arrived on loan Looks like it will take a least 4 frames. No time to really check it out yet, but I guess I will be spinning honey when back from business trip.

So far 12 frames have been spun out , 8 more plus a full super (still on hive) waiting

Works well , but as the engineer i am looking at ways to automate this already :D

Zulu,
Congrats on finding an extractor, maybe you can negotiate a sale. But maybe a loan is even better.
A few years back extractors were easy to find, I don't see that many used ones around anymore.

Just some thoughts.
