bee relieve

Post by whg3 »

 OK guys I have a question! Today I installed two packages of bees. I left my car (black) parked in front of the hives when I unloaded them. The installment went great. A couple hours later I went to check on the hives to see how they were doing and to move my car. The bees were great but the car was a mess with bee poop all over it. I guess the girls had been in the boxes for a couple of days and need some relief. Is this normal. If so don't leave you car to close! :D

It is normal. They have been waiting a couple of days for a bathroom break. We try and remember to warn people installing packages for the first time not to be too upset if they see a lot of bee poop shortly after the bees are out of the package.
